Baoruler | Vegetable Plot Field Measurement

Steps for measuring a vegetable plot using the Baoruler Measuring Device:

Preparation

Turn on the device and launch the companion APP, completing the connection via Bluetooth. Survey the vegetable plot in advance to plan the measurement route, trying to avoid obstacles. If the plot shape is complex, consider measuring in sections.

Select Measurement Mode

Choose a suitable measurement mode based on the shape of the vegetable plot and measurement requirements. If the plot is a regular rectangle or square, select the "Straight Line Measurement" mode and measure the length of each side sequentially. If the plot shape is irregular, it is recommended to use the "Trajectory Line" mode; walk along the plot boundary, and the device will automatically record the walking trajectory and calculate the area and perimeter.

Start Measuring

If using the "Straight Line Measurement" mode, aim the device's measuring rod at a corner of the plot, press the measurement button to record that point's position.

If using the "Trajectory Line" mode, hold the device and walk slowly along the plot boundary, keeping the device stable. The device will record the walking trajectory in real-time.

Handle Special Situations

If encountering obstacles during measurement that prevent direct measurement, use the "Ignore Point" or "Ignore Line" functions.

For corner points that cannot be reached directly, you can use the "Extrapolate Corner" function. By measuring the distance and angle to adjacent points, the location of the corner point can be calculated.

Complete the Measurement

After measurement is complete, the device will automatically calculate and display data such as the plot's area and perimeter. You can view the measurement results in the APP, including 2D and 3D views, as well as detailed information of the measurement data.
