What kind of measuring instrument is this, and what is its accuracy?

This is the Baochi Measuring Instrument. It provides centimeter-level accuracy. The theoretical error range is 0.3%-0.5%, and the actual accuracy depends on the user's operation and usage.

Does the device have an official accuracy test report?

Yes. An accuracy test report issued by the Chongqing Institute of Metrology is available and can be sent to customers if needed.

What is the difference between this device and Moasure?

The manufacturers are different. Baochi is from China, while Moasure is from the UK. Their accuracy is similar, Baochi offers stronger software functions, and Baochi's market price is lower than Moasure's.

Can the device measure without satellite signals?

Yes. The device does not require satellite signals or a network connection. It can be used indoors and outdoors.

Can measurement results be imported into CAD?

Yes. Measurement results can be directly generated as CAD files.

Can the device export in 3D mode?

Yes. The measured data includes X, Y, and Z axes, and both 2D and 3D data can be exported.

Can the device measure length, area, and volume?

Yes. The device has X, Y, and Z axes and supports on-site generation of measurement results.

Can it be used for stakeout?

No.

Can Huawei and Apple phones be used? Where can the software be downloaded?

Yes. Huawei and Apple phones can download the app from their app stores. For other phones, please scan the QR code in the packaging box to download it.

Is the device waterproof?

The device has an IP65 waterproof rating. It supports use in rainy weather and can withstand general splashes, but long-term immersion is prohibited.

Do you have other products that can measure area?

Yes. The company's Shifang Measuring Instrument and Baozhang Measuring Instrument can both measure area.

Scenarios

Can the measuring instrument be used for courtyard landscaping?

Yes. Most of our current customers are in garden and landscaping-related fields. It is convenient for curved courtyard landscaping sites and can generate graphics on site.

Can the device measure excavation quantities on construction sites?

Yes. Volume measurement can be selected in the software, and the measured data includes cut-and-fill quantities.

Can the device be used indoors? What is the principle?

Yes, it can be used indoors. The device does not require signals or a network connection; it only needs to connect to a mobile phone via Bluetooth. It uses the principle of inertial navigation positioning, namely a gyroscope and accelerometer.

Can the device measure wall surfaces, including wall height and width?

If the device can be placed against the wall surface, it can be measured. The measuring rod is about 1.5 meters long. If the device cannot reach the location, it cannot be measured.

Can the measuring instrument measure stairs?

Based on our understanding, stair measurement requires relatively high accuracy, usually millimeter-level accuracy. Our device provides centimeter-level accuracy, so it is not suitable for this use.

Can the device draw indoor layouts and be used for quotations?

Yes. Its centimeter-level accuracy can meet this requirement.

Is the device accurate despite its size? Where is the measurement reference point?

The device has a fixed measurement point, which is the lit pointed corner. During use, align the reference point with the point to be measured.

What is the maximum measurable area and maximum measurable length?

The recommended measurement area is no more than 1,000 m². If this is exceeded, the estimated maximum error is about 1.5%, and you can evaluate whether this is acceptable. There is no length limit. With correct operation, the cumulative length error is less than 0.3%, which can be used as the basis for calculation.

Recommended use scenarios:

Landscape design, project acceptance, greenery quantity takeoff, photovoltaic measurement, power pipeline length measurement, private villas, municipal landscaping, nursery planting, property quantity calculation, concrete paving quantity calculation, exhibition layout design, teaching equipment, and other scenarios where accuracy requirements are not very high.

Not recommended scenarios:

Interior decoration, stair measurement, construction layout/stakeout, house registration measurement, renovation of old residential communities, and other scenarios with high accuracy requirements.
